Abstract
318,881. Baxter, R. H. June 11, 1928. Optical devices.-An optically-projected sign of a plano-convex lens with the rear flat lace of which is closely associated the design &c. to be projected. The design may consist of a reflective surface, the projection being effected on a screen 7 from the sun or other source of light 6 located in front of the lens 1, Fig. 1. Alternatively the design may be in the form of a transparency, and light from a source 6 be rejected through it by an adjustable mirror 8, Fig. 2, or direct rear lighting may be employed. Additional focussing lenses 10, 11 may be provided. Fig. 3 shows a rectangular lens 1 having a dark background 2 and a reflecting design 3.
