Abstract

316,500. Stam, M. J. Dec. 6, 1928. Concrete and reinforced-concrete posts; connections. - A pole, which may be of concrete or reinforced concrete, is formed in sections, each section having a pin end 10 which fits into the hollow end of the next section 2, as shown. The ends 10 are formed with central passages 9 for tie-bolts 4 which unite the sections and are connected to each other by hooks 6 and links 5. The bolts 4 are tightened by means of nuts 7. The hollow ends of each section rest on shoulders 11 of each lower section. and, to form water-tight joints, a tightening ring may be placed on the shoulders 11. A hollow toppiece 1 and an enlarged base piece 3, of any shape, complete the pole.
