Abstract

315,129. Radiatian, Ltd., and Yates, H. J. Aug. 16, 1928. Hot-plates for gas stoves are formed of bars a of narrow and relatively deep cross-section except for a plate-like portion c, which supports the utensil, and the underside of which is unobstructed. The plate c lies over the centre of the burner without obstructing the flames; it serves, in addition, to protect the burner against overflow from utensils. Neighbouring bars may carry enlargements e to form smaller supporting elements at the sides of the plates c, the bars being recessed at f on either side of these enlargements. Preferably, as shown, each bar is formed with a large and a small supporting element, adjacent bars being reversed end for end. The bars may be formed singly or, as shown, in groups.
