[Class 126] A grill comprises two apertured fireclay or other refractory slabs 28, 29 spaced apart one over the other above a multi-teat gas burner 16, the apertures 30 in the lower slab 29 being in register with the teats 17 of the burner and out of line with the apertures 33 in the upper slab 28, which becomes incandescent. The food to be grilled rests on V- section bars 37 above the slabs. In the form shown, there are four burners 16, comprising rectangular boxes with lateral lugs 19 resting on lugs 15 on the sides of T-section bars 14, which extend between front and rear bars 12, 13. Resting on the bars 14 are steel plates 27, with apertures into which project the teats 17. The lower slabs 29 rest on the plates 27, and have projections 32 and flanges 31 to space the upper slab from the lower. Firebrick side-members 34 encircle the slabs. The bars 37 and the assembly of burners, plates, and slabs are inclined to the horizontal at an angle of about 20‹. The bars 37 extend beyond the front of the frame 36 detachably supporting them, and beneath their front ends is a drip sill 40 and a trough 41.
