Abstract

705,857. Ovens. MAIN, Ltd., R. & A., and WORTLEY, G. W. June 9, 1952 [July 6, 1951], No. 16127/51. Class 126 A side plate for a cooker oven has supporting rails for oven shelves formed integrally with the shelf and a projection formed above and near the forward part of each rail so as to prevent tilting of the shelf when it is withdrawn. The side plate 10 has rails 11, 12, 13, 14 cast integrally with it so that their upper and under surfaces merge smoothly with the side plate 10 to facilitate cleaning. The shelf supporting rails 12, 13, 14 have downward deflections 16 at their forward ends, and a projection 17 is formed on the side plate above the deflection in the upper rail 12. The rail 11, which supports a grill pan near the top of the oven, is interrupted, near its forward end, and a rail 20, which supports a top plate for the oven when the grill is not in use, has projection 19 formed on its underside above the interruption in the rail 11.
