914,490. Plate racks. OATLEY TECHNICAL DEVELOPMENTS Ltd. June 14, 1961 [June 27, 1960], No. 22534/60. Class 126. [Also in Group VI] In a gas cooker having a grill, oven or other cooking element 10 with a substantially horizontal and imperforate undersurface 12 mounted above and spaced from the cooker hot-plate 11, plate rack 9 is mounted below the upper cooking element and lies within its plan area. The under surface 12 of the eye level oven or grill may incline slightly upwards and forwards, and the plate rack 9 slides on rails 17 secured by hangers 18 to the oven. The back member 15 of the rack rests on the rails 17 and side members 14 rest on the inturned lower ends 20 of the hangers 18. Stops 23, 24 on the side members 14 engage the ends 20 of the hangers to prevent the plate rack being pulled out or pushed in too far. Hook members 22 secured to the plate rack 9 near the back at each side engage below the guide rails 17 to prevent the rack 9 tilting when it is drawn out. The plate rack 9 can be completely removed by lifting its front edge when it is pulled out.
