524,464. Plate racks and splash-plates for coking-stoves. EMSCOTE FOUNDRY CO., Ltd., and HARVEY, F. Jan. 30, 1939, No. 3176. [Class 126] The side-members 26, 27 of a plate-rack 14 have inwardly directed ends 29, 30 which fit in U-shaped sockets 16, 17 in the flange portions 15 of channel-sectioned uprights 11, 12 secured at the rear of a cooking-stove and are provided with diametral pins 36 which support the rack in a horizontal position by engagement with adjustable screws 37 carried by bridges 18 connecting the limbs of the sockets. The forward ends of the pins 36 may rest on the ends 39 of the uprights. When the rack is turned upwardly about the ends 29, 30 it can be lifted away from the uprights 11, 12. The frame of the rack may be constructed from a U-shaped. piece of metal tubing 28 having its sides connected by a cross tube 31. The plate supports are formed by bars 32, 34 connecting the sides and ends of the frame. A splash-plate 13 arranged between the uprights is formed at its lower edge with a perforated flange fitting over pegs 24 carried by a member 23 connecting the uprights.
