Abstract

Working-fluid supply. - A gas turbine comprises a rotor a having a spiral passage f to the centre o of which explosive mixture is admitted by a spring-loaded valve i. The mixture is ignited at a suitable point in the rotation by a sparking plug p connected to a magneto s or to a coil. The current is conducted through the insulated gear wheels q, r of the magneto. The exhaust side of the casing is fitted with vanes v, and between the exhaust conduit x and the point which the outturned end g of the passage f reaches when ignition takes place, a spring- pressed packing strip z is arranged. Cooling fins r<1> are provided.
