Abstract

471,671. Gas turbines. STANTS, C. W. Feb. 8, 1936, No. 3918. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Aug. 12, 1936.] [Class 110 (iii)] One or more chambers of increasing crosssection are formed between a shaft 1, a casing 17 and helicoidal walls 8 all of which rotate together. Air is introduced at 4 and fuel passes through a bore 19 in the shaft to outlets 20 spaced along the initial parts of the chamber. Ignition devices 23 are provided for starting. A turbo-compressor for the air may be mounted on the motor shaft.
