Abstract
314,247. Pedersen, H. J. July 27, 1928. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Handles with clamping retaining-devices for tools and the like.-A handle adapted to be readily attached to and removed from articles such as builders' rubbing down blochs, sad irons &c., comprises a hand grip with a pair of depending arms which are shaped at the free ends to engage projections on the article and are held in engaging position by a strip of material connecting the free ends. The abrasive stone or polishing block 1 has an upstanding part 1<a> formed at the edges with channels 2 and overhanging lips 2a adapted to engage overhanging extensions 4 and recesses 4a at the ends of the two arms 3 detachably secured to the hand grip 6 by the bolt 5. The engaging parts are secured in position by a strip 7 of spring metal, the limbs 7a of which are passed through the lower parts of the arms and held in channels 3<a> in the arms 3 by the bolt 5.
