Abstract

23,924. Prentice, G. Dec. 11. Scrapers. -A receptacle for use with a painter's flat knife or scraper for removing distemper &c. from walls or ceilings comprises a receptacle A which is bevelled at the front 3 and provided with a bottom 1 longer that the top 2, and is secured to the scraper B by two metal straps 4, 5 attached to the receptacle. A thumb-screw 6 through the rear strap 4 holds the scraper in position. The receptacle may contain a plunger 7 for removing the scrapings therefrom. The plunger 7 has its handle parallel with that of the scraper to enable both to be held in one hand, and also has a nut 8 at one end to permit its removal.
