Abstract

208,317. Verheyden, P. J. C. Nov. 2, 1922. Scrapers for removing paint &c. of the kind in which the blade is perpendicular to the handle are formed with serrated edges. Preferably a detachable serrated blade 5, is secured in one edge of a scraper 1 by means of nuts 8, 9 between a spring plate 6 and the scraper 1 which is of triangular form. The blade 5 is received in a recess 4 of the scraper 1. and the other edge. 10 of the blade may be sharpened, so that, by reversing the blade 5, this edge 10 may also be used as a scraper. The edge 10 can be used in certain places which are inaccessible to the edge 5.
