Abstract
281,362. Dooley, J. Aug. 26, 1926. Hand-iron handles are arranged to be folded into a recess in the body of the iron when not in use. The handle supports 7, 8, Fig. 1, are pivoted in the recess and are provided with apertures 11, 12 to receive the handle proper 16 when in working position, the supports being slightly sprung apart to receive or release the handle. In the folded position the handle is removed from its supports and is housed in recesses in the body. In a modification, Fig. 6, the handle proper 16 is secured to the supports which comprise a number of pivoted members 32, 33; 38, 39; 42, 43.
