Abstract

167,364. Cook, W. June, 26, 1920. knives, cleaning &c. by appliances comprising a pair of rigid plates D, E hinged together and lined with a single sheet of felt secured only at its ends d<2>, e<2> to the plates, which are bulged near the hinge to accommodate the felt when the appliance is folded over for the cleaning operation. A clamp A and pressure handle F may be provided. In the modification shown in Fig. 4 two upper plates E, E<1> are hinged to a larger lower plate D, thus furnishing two cleaners, which may be used for wet and dry cleaning respectively.
