487,207. Pads. WATLING, H. Nov. 26, 1937, No. 32640. [Class 19] A pad or similar cleaning appliance comprises a solid stock A, Fig. 3, of more or less rectangular form with two or more operating surfaces, a handle B rigidly secured thereto and a renewable cover E. The stock A is cushioned with a body of rubber A<1> which need extend over only two faces. Over the rubber is a facing A<2> preferably of felt with a covering A<3> of leather. A polishing cloth E may be secured in various ways but preferably is secured by rods F, Fig. 5, passing through hems E<2> and engaging clips F<1>.
