Abstract

109,280. Chell, W. Aug. 7, 1916. Cloths stretched over backings.-An appliance for cleaning windows, walls, &c. comprises two members A, B each adapted to hold a wash-leather or polishing-cloth E, F on a backing of felt &c. D, the members being connected together by distancepieces C, to which the handle J is pivotally connected. The cloths are preferably held on the members A, B bv an elastic band G attached to the edges of the cloths or run through marginal hems. The appliance is held in the adjusted position on the handle by a metal plate L the outer notched surface of which engages the forked portion of the handle.
