Abstract

240,353. Whittaher, N. M. Feb. 11, 1925. Teeth - cleaning appliances.-A rubbing pad 4, preferably of closelycompacted layers 5 of compressed fibre, such an absorbent cotton, compressed between outside strips 6 of fabric such as gauze, is detachably secured to a holder 1 having a channel-shaped groove with projections 2<1> on both sides of the groove. A row of stitches 8 may be employed to unite the layers of fibre. The pad when moistened swells out and is firmly held in the holder. Strips of fabric 7 may be interposed between layers of the fibre.
