Abstract

478,294. Reservoir pads. JOHNSON, A. A. March 18, 1937, No. 7984. [Class 19] A car-washing device comprising a flexible cellular pad 7, a band-receiving element 9 and a hose 11, is characterized in that the hose extends directly into the pad and terminates therein. The pad consists preferably of sponge rubber with a backing 8 to prevent escape of water therethrough. Upon the backing 8 is the glove member 9 with at least two finger pockets 10. The glove member has an integral flange 9a extending over the backing. Between the pockets 10 is a hose 11 terminating in a cavity 12 extending through the backing into the pad 7. In a, modification, a strap is substituted for the glove member. In another modification, the hand receiving member is not subdivided, and the hose is introduced into the side of the pad.
