A polishing device comprises resilient blocks hinged together, one block carrying a sponge rubber wax applying pad 16 positioned to fit into an aperture 15 in the other block when the two are closed together. The outer faces of the blocks may be covered with fabric 13 for polishing the surface to which wax has been applied.
