Abstract

249,437. Finburgh, A. Nov. 4, 1925. Heating hand - irons before use; hand-irons with standing means attached; detachable handles and construction of handles of handirons.-In that type of iron provided with a tray d beneath the handle b so that on inversion of the iron the tray can be filled with spirit &c. ignited to heat the iron while out of use, a metal bar f is pivoted in a recess in the handle and, when the iron is inverted, the bar is turned transversely to the iron so as to render the support more stable. A hole e may be formed in the iron to facilitate filling the tray and for this purpose also the handle may be pivoted to the iron or made detachable. A fuel-container i is housed in the handle.
