313,731. Bastable, E. May 26, 1928. Pistons and tubular valves.-A water-regulating device, more particularly for use with hosepipes, comprises a hollow body A in which is screwed a stuffing-box J through which passes a tubular member B closed at its inner end, into which are screwed two other tubes C, D, the tube B being perforated at F, H and G and corresponding perforations formed in the other tubes. The tube B is threaded to engage internal threads on a member K and is provided with a handpiece L. The liquid delivery is regulated by turning the members B, K relatively to one another, when the openings H, G, F will be successively closed, and finally the closing plug of the tube B will engage a valve seating on the member J.
