Abstract

Closure members, piston and tubular. - The supply pipe a is provided with perforations d on each side of a transverse partition c, and the outlet pipe e, e<1> is adapted to slide over the perforations d to prevent or allow the flow of fluid from one side of the partition to the other through the enlargement of the outlet pipe. Packing washers f are held apart by a distance piece g, and a grub-screw i prevents complete withdrawal of the outlet pipe. The valve is suitable for high pressures.
