383,601. Stop valves. GALLIENI VIGANO' & MARAZZA SOC. ANON., 18, Via Tortona, Milan, Italy. Feb. 9, 1931, No. 4008. Convention date, Feb. 14, 1930. Void [Published under Sect. 91 of the Acts]. [Class 135.] Closure members, piston and sliding.-A piston or flat slide stop valve is provided with an opening x uniform with the inlet and outlet passages 2 in the casing so as to provide a flow passage through the valve free from obstructions. Packing rings 4, 5 and 7, 8 in the casing are adjusted by gland members, as shown, and are always protected from contact with the fluid. In alternative forms of the piston valve the opening through the piston is dispensed with, and the packings are disposed either in the casing or in the piston itself.
