Abstract
288,845. Dine, J. H., and Procter, L. J. Jan. 1, 1927. Divided on 286,405. Junction - pieces.- In valve casings formed in two parts, a, b secured by bolts l passing through flanges, to facilitate adjustment to regulate the relative disposition of diagonal inlet and outlet passages m, n, one of the flanges is formed in two interengaging portions, an aftachment ring k and an inner part d integral with the casing part which is thus rotatable without removing the securing bolts. The contacting faces of the flanges and an intermediate disc or diaphragm e in which the valve is seated, are formed with interengaging ribs and grooves o which may be V-shaped as shown or of square cross section provided with cork or asbestos packing at the bottom of the grooves.
