Lubricant conveyed by fluid.-In a device for supplying a mixture of steam and lubricant to the cylinders of steam-engines &c. in which the supply of steam is controlled by the supply of lubricant, steam is admitted to a mixing-chamber f through a nozzle e, around which lubricant is supplied through a passage j. Oil entering the device at b passes to the passage i through a spring-pressed valve k which is opened by the pressure of oil. Steam enters at c and passes to the nozzle e through a spring-pressed valve h which is opened by the engagement of a stem l of the valve k with a stem i of the valve h. The mixture passes to the outlet d through a choke plug p. In a modification, lubricant is supplied in front of the nozzle.
