Abstract

313,217. Voss, J. D. May 25, 1928. Cylinders, passages of.-A hollow rotary valve 1, is formed with recesses 16 which make connection longitudinally of the valve between inlet passages 26 leading from the cylinders and 27 connected to the induction pipes, and also between separate passages (not shown) leading from the cylinders and exhaust passages 22 leading to the exhaust pipes. The valve casing 17 of a four-cylinder engine is shown in Fig. 5 with four connections 22 to the exhaust manifold, and with two connections 27 to the inlet manifold.
