Abstract

313,186. Binnie, J. I. Feb. 8, 1928. Cutting and slicing vegetables &c.-Vegetables are fed through hoppers H, H1, into cylinders F, F1 along which they are pressed by springs G, G1 to fluted slicing knives E, E1, projecting from a disc D. The knives are interchangeable and are fitted in slots, the distance they project from the surface of the disc being adjustable to vary the thickness of the slices cut. The disc is carried on a shaft B driven by a pulley A. The disc and cutting portion of the device may be separated from the feeding portion.
