Abstract

311,610. Walford, E. W., (Soc. Anon. des Anciens Etablissements Hotchkiss et Cie, and Ainsworth, H. M.). Aug. 9, 1928. Force-feed lubricating.-In a fluid-pressure engine having an electric starting motor 3 which is normally stationary, an auxiliary gear or other rotary oil pump 2 is attached to or permanently connected directly with the armature shaft so as to deliver oil through a pipe 7 to the cylinder walls or other parts when the motor is running. The pump draws from the engine sump through a pipe 5.
