Abstract
253,814. White, A. E., (Curtiss Aeroplane & Motor Co., Inc.). Dec. 22, 1925. Force-feed lubricating.-Lubricant collecting in a depression 15 at one end of the crank case 10 of an aircraft motor is delivered by a pump 14 into a sump 16 at the other end of the case 10, whence it is delivered by a pump 13 to a tank 11. A pump 12 supplies lubricant from the tank 11 to the motor. The arrangement is such that the pump 13 continues to pump oil alone, irrespective of the inclination of the motor. Specification 140,088 is referred to.
