Abstract

121,092. Phelps, R. W. July 16, 1918. Lubricant conveyed by mechanical means ; centrifugal-action lubricating.- A device for lubricating crank-pins of internalcombustion engines &c. comprises a disk 2 fixed to a crank 7 and an annular trough 6 eccentric to the crank-shaft 4. Vanes 3 on the disk dip into oil and splash some into the trough, from which it is delivered by centrifugal action through passages 10, 11 to the surface of the crank-pin 8.
