Abstract

310,695. Superheater Co., Ltd., (Compagnie des Surchauffeurs). June 6, 1928. Supporting superheaters,-Steam superheating tubes are supported by beams, each of which comprises or consists of a number of closely grouped tubes or conduits, through which is circulated water from the boiler or from an outside source. The tubes 7, Fig. 3, in a supporting beam are welded to the sides and bottom of an 1-section iron 3. Single tubes of rectangular section may be used on each side of the iron in place of tubes of circular section. Tubes 12, Fig. 4, are welded to connecting plates or bars 13 to form a. beam. The circulating conduits may be formed in the metal of an I-shaped iron beam. Boiler tubes may be supported by hangers engaging between the tubes of a beam. In an indirectly-heatedboiler, the water circulated through heating coils 11, Fig. 2, in the boiler drum 4 is heated in the beams 3 extending across the combustion chamber and supporting a superheater 2.
