Hydraulic transmission of power.-In order to facilitate the operation of the pumps required in connection with a hydraulic coupling, e.g. the manoeuvring or reversing pump, and the leakage liquid pump, the suction chambers of these pumps are kept filled by means of another pump. In the form shown, the manoeuvring pump 15 has its suction chamber connected by a pipe 14 to a constantly running pump 10 and a non-return valve 18 is provided. In a modification, the spindle of the pump 15 is horizontal, and the pipe 14 is connected on the delivery side.
