Abstract

306,411. Junkers, K. Feb. 17, 1928, [Convention date]. Floats, arrangement of. - Flying boats having two laterally spaced hulls 1, 2 are braced together on their lower inner sides to relieve the stresses on the wing or girder connecting them at the top. As shown, struts 11, 12 connect the hulls to a central fuselage 3, which does not serve as a float, two groups of struts being provided at a considerable distance apart fore and aft. Where there is no central fuselage, the struts are connected to an auxiliary framework built beneath the wing.
