305,887. Symons, H. D. May 19,1928. Compound fabrics. - Insulating material for electrical apparatus comprises a compound tape formed of tapes of the same width arranged face to face without overlap. The tapes may be of the same or different materials and may be formed of silk, cotton, linen or other textile or of paper. When the material consists of two tapes, one may be plain and the other varnished or treated with insulating material, or both may be so treated. The material may be formed of tubular material flattened by rollers and may be plain or impregnated either before or after rolling.
