Abstract

305,861. Wilson, J. S., and Glover & Co., Ltd., T. March 23, 1928. Spigot-and-socket joints with packing at mouth of socket ; sleeve joints.-The branch connection A of a stop-cock casing &c. C and the usual collar B near the end thereof is cast integral with said casing and is connected to the threaded end of a pipe G by means of a nut E, fluid-tightness being secured by means of a packing ring H as shown. The nut E is formed with an internal shoulder D which has a diameter greater than that of the collar B and which acts upon said collar through an interposed split metal ring F.
