Abstract

303,459. Robson, S., Lambert, B., and National Processes, Ltd. Oct. 3, 1927. Sulphur trioxide, catalytic production of.-In preparing sulphuric acid by use of the contact material described in Specification 301,853, sulphurous gases obtained by roasting ores &c. are subjected only to such purification as is necessary to remove dust or suspended matter. The gases from the roaster are passed while still hot through electrostatic dust separators or filters and are then led directly with the contact chamber.
