Abstract

302,158. West, D. H. Dec. 10, 1927, [Convention date]. Cam-actuated pumps. - A pump or motor cylinder block on a shaft 18 has ports 84 cooperating with ports in a stationary valve member 27, fitted into a bore in the block with a renewable bushing 25, and a large ball bearing 30 is provided. The pistons are connected by rods 36 to a plate 38 driven from the shaft 18, the rod joints on the plate forming a circle having a radius slightly greater than that of the cylinder circle. The plate 38 is mounted in a, block 40 adjustable on curved guide surfaces 44, the radius of which does not differ by more than 15 per cent from the radius of the circle of rod joints.
