Adapting for miniature ammunition.-A barrel 1 for miniature ammunition 16 is attached to the muzzle of a rifle 2, conveniently by means of a sleeve 3. The barnel 1 is attached to the sleeve by a bayonet joint 17 and the sleeve is attached to the rifle by means of a collar 4 and a bolt 7 in conjunction with the upper band 8 of the rifle. A tube 5 extends from the sleeve 3 into the muzzle of the rifle, and a tube 12 is fitted in the chamber of the rifle for guiding a rod 13 which is normally held back by a spring 14. This rod transmits the thrust of the firing pin of the rifle to a plug 10 carrying firing pins 11 for the miniature ammunition. The plug 10 is guided by a thimble 9.
