Abstract
300,569. Dryden, W., and Knight, L. June 11, 1927. Divided on 298,655, [Class 58, Grain &c.]. Packing granular &c. materials into bags.- Granular or pulverulent material passes from a hopper B<2> into a rotating inclined trough C<1>, obliquely disposed to its axis of rotation, by which it is delivered into a number of hoppers h' formed in a circle in a plate H. The lower ends of these hoppers are flanged so that bags may be arranged thereon. The rotating trough C<1> is carried on a boss c<9> secured to a spindle c<8> adapted to be driven through worm gear from fast and loose pulleys f<10>, f". A scraper S secured to the boss c' extends into the hopper B<2>. The hopper B<2> may be secured to and rotate with the spindle c<8>. Specification 298,655, [Class 58, Grain &c.], is referred to.
