Abstract

298,947. Vereinigte Stahlwerke Akt.- Ges. Oct. 17, 1927, [Convention date]. Joints formed by welding.-In a pipe joint wherein the flange c on one pipe abuts against and is bent over the smaller flange b on the adjacent pipe and is welded thereto, the abutting surfaces of the flanges are of spherical form so as to permit non-axial alignment of the pipes. The centres of the said spherical surfaces are adapted to lie on the axes of the pipes. Specification 259,617 is referred to.
