Abstract

298,226. PoÙtzsch, W. G., (Assignee of Lauterbach, F.). Oct. 6, 1927, [Convention date]. Density separators. - A centrifugal apparatus is attached to a bath for the electrolytic deposition of chromium, in order to recover the vapours from the gas drawn off from the bath. A disc f with vanes is fixed on a rotatable spindle in the piping through which the gas passes. The flow of gas may drive the spindle by means of the vanes on the disc f, or driving blades a, b may be attached at the ends of the spindle. The clean gas passes on but the vapour is thrown outwards by centirifugal force and collected in chambers formed by radial or other partitions c. Several sets of vanes may be used and the spindle may be externally driven.
