Abstract

298,202. Beck, E., (Assignee of Geisslinger, J.). Oct. 5, 1927, [Convention date]. Electric clocks.-In an electric clock in which ratchet mechanism is driven by a short spring which is periodically re-energized electromagnetically, and in which the driving pawl and the pawl preventing retrograde movement form the movable contacts of the magnet circuit, the entire driving mechanism is carried by the pillar plate. The armature 3 of the magnet 2 which reenergizes the spring 4 carries the driving pawl 5. At the end of the driving stroke of pawl 5, pawl 7 falls over a tooth and an extension thereof contacts electrically with the pawl 5 which is thus raised over another tooth. This contact persists almost to the end of the upward stroke of pawl 5.
