Driving-arrangements. - In helical toothed gearing, particularly double helical gearing, employed in transmitting the drive from motors, the countershaft 4 is so journaled at one end 9 in a housing 1 enclosing the gearing that it can be moved to disengage the gear-wheels 3, 5, 6 and 8 and allow the motor shaft 2 to be readily removed. The bearing 9, 10 is preferably arranged on the partition dividing the housing 1 from the motor casing, and the opposite end of the shaft 4 is journaled in a removable plate 12 secured in the cover 11.
