Double and multiple hinges ; attaching to articles.-Double-jointed hinges for the hingedsliding sashes of a window are slidably mounted on rods C<2> and have one leaf Z clamped by a screw in an inturned channel member D on the sash, the second leaf Y being secured by a thumbscrew to the sash. The lower hinge of the top sash has a leaf slidable on its pivot which is adapted to drop to allow the inturned bottom sash to protrude on to the sill.
