Oil cooking-stoves; boilers, arrangements of. - A cooking-stove heated by petroleum burners comprises one or more series of ovens and a portion for heating cooking-vessels at one or both ends, the burners being disposed below the ovens and the chambers containing the cooking vessels. The stove shown, of which Fig. 2 is a longitudinal half section, comprises a back-to-back arrangement of two central combustion chambers 38, 39, heated by burners 10, 11, the gases from which pass below hot-plates 40 and around ovens 16, 17 at each side of each of the combustion chambers. At each end of the stove are four chambers 30, 31 containing cooking-vessels 52 and grouped around a central combustion chamber 2 heated by a burner 7. Dampers 20, 21, operated respectively by rack and pinion and pinion gears, control the passage of the gases round the ovens. Gases from the chamber 2 pass, under control of dampers 34, 35 to the chambers 30, 31, in which helical flues surround the cooking-vessels. A boiler 26 may be provided in an extension of the chamber 2, with a flue 27 leading through it to the chimney flue.
