Vaporizers, external. - In a two-stroke engine having the working piston (not shown) formed with a portion e of larger diameter, one or more piston valves d attached to the piston e work in chambers a arranged outside the working cylinder and control the admission of fuel through ports c and its transference through ports b to the working cylinder. Scavenging-air admitted at m, after the terminal exhaust ports (not shown) have been uncovered, creates a vacuum in the chambers a, so that liquid enters through the ports c and becomes vaporized by the hot walls of the chambers a, passing into the main cylinder by the ports b and mixing with the air charge.
