Bleaching, processes and materials for.-Mordanted animal fibrous materials for making hats (such as hare's hair treated with mercury salts, zinc nitrate, or tin nitrate) are bleached by the process described in the parent Specification comprising treatment with weakly alkaline dilute solutions containing hydrogen peroxide, in the presence of substances such as potassium ferricyanide which accelerates the decomposition of the peroxide but are not oxidizing-agents in the concentrations employed.
