Abstract
293,826. Coppenolle, G. van. July 13, 1927, [Convention date]. Spindle apparatus; spindle rails; stop-apparatus, non-automatic.- A cup-shaped flyer 5 is provided with eyes 12 slidably mounted in holes in a ring 9 and if necessary in holes in a similar ring 16 so that they are supported by the yarn and impart tension thereto, and the bobbin 46, which is mounted on a bush 45 carried by a sleeve 44, is dragged by means of a freelv mounted steel roller 47 carried on the upper end of a rod 52, the lower end of which is carried by a support 58 secured by a bolt 61 to a step 62 carried by a bush 43 supported by a platform 41 which is reciprocated by pokers 36. The rod 52 is provided with a wedgeshaped bearing-piece 54 engaging a shoulder on the bush 45, and is engaged by a spring 55 on the sleeve 44 and further guided by a slide-piece 57 on the sleeve. A central dead spindle 32 carried by a fixed rail supports the sleeve 44 at its ends only, the intervening space serving as a lubricant chamber. The fiver is carried in a collar 2 in a fixed rail 1 and is driven by a wharl 6; it is stopped by a brake-piece 30 on a screwed spindle operated by a band nut 27. The platform 41 carries a support 65 for empty bobbins 69. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also an arrangement wherein the central dead spindle is supported at its upper end by a pivoted member provided with a guide eye,. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
