Foundations; surface markings.-Rubber roadsurfacing composition a is laid in an unvulcanized condition on a concrete road foundation furnished with projections b or undercut grooves to key the rubber which is afterwards vulcanized in situ. The projections may be of rectangular or other form, and the grooves may run longitudinally, transversely, or diagonally. Lines or signs for traffic guidance may be formed in a similar manner. In order to permit of vulcanizing the rubber quickly at a low temperature, an accelerator such as piperidine pentamethylene dithiocarbamate may be incorporated in the composition. Specifications 2336/14, [Class 20 (iv), Floors &c.], 218,177, and 235,733 are referred to.
