Abstract

290,424. McCallum, J., and Andersen, H. P. H. April 13, 1927. Steam, returning to boiler.-Instead of returning partly condensed exhaust steam from a condenser 7 to a boiler 1 by a pump, as described in Specifications 254,874 and 271,928. it is returned by an injector 12. The injector is operated by live steam the supply of which is regulated by a valve 15 in accordance with the pressure of the exhaust. In a modification, the injector is operated by water withdrawn from the boiler and supplied to the injector by a centrifugal pump driven from the engine. The Provisional Specification also refers to Specification 286,408.
